My name is Lauren Elizabeth. I am 21 years old and in my 3rd year of Art Education at SUNY at Buffalo State College. In addition to my Art Education Studies, I am also studying for a minor in Painting. I was home-schooled throughout grade school and high school. this gave me the opportunity to explore many interests and hobbies. I enjoy snowboarding, swimming competitively, shopping and anything to do with art or design. I grew up with 7 siblings and enjoy spending time with them. Being the second eldest, I was constantly put in a teaching position throughout my life. This has been beneficial for me in learning how to approach different age groups as well as understanding the developmental process of kids. I am so grateful for this experience and love spending time with kids of all ages. My parents have been very supportive of my art studies. My mother taught me to paint at a young age and been encouraging ever since. My father took me on as his assistant in many home repairs. I quickly developed an eye for design and even enjoyed the physical labor aspect of the construction work. My family has been a huge inspiration and source of support in my art and education.
